I have a confession to make: I love going to IT conferences. I know it may seem like a strange thing to enjoy, but hear me out: I get to meet with my peers, learn new ideas from others, and share my own experiences and research with an attentive audience. It is also a chance to see new faces and take a different perspective on what’s happening across the IT industry. What’s not to love?!
This Saturday, I am lucky to have been chosen to present at CodeCamp Iasi. I will be on stage at 16:00 and I will be doing a presentation titled “Conquering The Common Fears That Burden Agile Teams”, where I will examine how fears come in the way of a successful Agile transformation, restricting activities, constricting thinking, pinching choices, and squeezing all the juiciness out of life.
Fear of change, fear of no longer being needed, fear of being vulnerable, fear of losing control, fear of failure can be daunting, exhausting, frustrating, and disruptive. I know this to be true; I’ve struggled with these fears of going Agile myself. But I also know that it’s very possible and probable that you will master your fears.
Join me to attack them head-on, as I will share some possible solutions to help you deal with the scariest aspects of going Agile.
